Quality Testing Program with Siemens PLC.

With the advent of the Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Zautomation has increasingly developed an ability to design, implement and manage complex technical infrastructures.

The best evidence of our capabilities are the projects we carried out in the last years in many different technological fields.

One of our most relevant projects is the development of a software for a large company based in the area near Milan, Italy.

The software, designed using Siemens PLC technology, can run tests on capacitive sensors – tools that measure fluid level in containers. Our client needed to verify that the sensor worked properly, entering pre-tested parameters to be processed by the Siemens PLC and the sensors.

To implement our solution, we also used a laser with Keyence reading technology that marked a QR code, and a QR code reader. The code was then used by the company to track production lots and assess the sensor.

To certify that a verification had been carried out, the system was connected to Microsoft Access, a database that stores all tests run and their results.
