The Radiofrequencies division of Indevo Srl has implemented an advanced product tracking system for a company specialized in the production of eco-responsible cosmetics, aimed at quality control and optimization of the logistics system.

Specifically, conveyor belts with high-performance UHF RFID tunnels have been integrated into the customer’s production lines. These tunnels allow for real-time verification of the consistency of the number of items, such as shampoo and cream bottles, divided into special hives inside cardboard boxes.

Each bottle is equipped with an RFID tag, which allows precise monitoring during transit through the tunnel. Inside the tunnel, a sophisticated reading system verifies the correspondence between the identified products and those expected by the production lines. The tunnel, strategically positioned at the exit of the labeler, automatically excludes products with non-compliant RFID labels from the line, thus improving production efficiency and reducing errors.

The tunnel management software is fully integrated with the customer’s MES (Manufacturing Execution System), ensuring a constant and reliable flow of data for production monitoring. Indevo’s RFID tunnel is designed to accommodate different product formats and types, thanks to a frame adjustable in height, width and antenna inclination. In addition, the system features advanced shielding, which eliminates interference and unwanted RFID readings.

Another strong point of the system is the regulation of the conveyor belt speed, which can reach up to 100 meters per minute, maintaining an average tag reading accuracy of 99.89% during daily production.

The adoption of RFID technology has represented a significant added value for the customer, allowing precise and automated tracking of items in transit. This has led to maximum automation of the process and a reduction in manual intervention by operators, thus increasing the overall efficiency of the production line.

Indevo solutions have been successfully tested by hundreds of manufacturing companies in a wide range of product sectors. Their versatility and ease of integration demonstrate the adaptability of Indevo products to different industrial needs, confirming them as a reliable choice for innovation and optimization of production processes.
